Steps to Drain Jacuzzi for Winters

Jacuzzi’s can be used any time of the year. Before covering your Jacuzzi (ג'קוזי)

Step 1: Turn on the jet system of your Jacuzzi. Most Jacuzzi’s use air jets but there are also some that use water jets. Whatever you are using, this will help get rid of residues and deposits that have accumulated in the pipes and might be causing blockage.
Step 2: Unplug the power from the heater. Do the same for the pump. It is imperative to unplug the pump so the sockets do not freeze up. This might cause mildew formation.
Step 3: Also remove the filter as molds and mildew tend to grow in this during winter seasons. Beneath the tub, you can see two valves in between the filter. Twist the bottom of the filter to remove the cartridge. Soak it in water with a bit of vinegar to remove sediments and dirty build up. Afterwards, give it a bit of rinse, dry it and then store it. Put it back again if you are going to use the tub again.

Step 4: Make sure your Jacuzzi  (ג'קוזי)  is empty. Clean the drain hose so it effectively drains off. You can also use a pump device to get rid of water. Remove the hose or loosen up the fittings and the valves so the water can drain off properly.
Step 5: Use a plunger and connect it to the jet closest to the pump. This will help get rid of anything stuck inside the jets. This way, it can properly drain off.
Step 6: Dry the inside of the Jacuzzi  (ג'קוזי)  using towels. Make sure that all the parts are dry. If you want to protect the finishing of the walls of the tub, you can use tub wax you can buy from the spa. This should not cost you much at all.
Step 7: Now you can put Jacuzzi cover.
