About Spring-free Trampoline

Traditional trampolines have metal springs connecting to the spring board frame while the new version has fiberglass rods creating the spring and supporting the mat and the frame is below the mat hidden from impact. The spring less trampoline has a hidden soft frame while the traditional trampoline's frame is exposed and made of hard metal. Rigid poles surround the enclosure for the traditional trampoline while the spring less trampoline enclosure has Flexi Net to absorb the impact of a body falling against it.

The spring less trampoline was invented by Dr. Alexander a professor of engineering at the University of Canterbury. After 15 years of researching ways to make his trampoline safe, he was satisfied the Spring-free trampoline was successfully designed and constructed with the utmost safety features built in. The trampoline was first commercialized in 2003 and it now sells in 15 countries.

The trampoline has a soft edge which appears to absorb the shock when you land on it. The outside guards are neat because they have a lot of spring in the netting. When you fall outside the borders you just bounce back into the border. You don't hurt yourself at all. You can jump wildly about feeling completely safe. As others jump it is clear how the rods contribute to the spring, but the jumpers never know the difference because the rods are hidden underneath the trampoline.

The floor of this trampoline is like a giant rubber band. It has built in spring. You could tell the traditional trampoline was dependent on the springs to generate the bounce because the floor did not stretch, it was rigid. The rods supporting the mat have elasticity too. This spring less trampoline will outlast our last mat because the springs won't rust and if the mat is not exposed to direct sunlight all day for months the elastic should last for years to come.
